The Financial Stability Board has identified cyber risks from frontier AI as the most pressing threat to the global financial system. Andrew Bailey, the board's chair, urged financial institutions and technology providers to prepare for severe scenarios involving simultaneous disruptions across multiple firms or shared dependencies.
A new malware campaign called TerminalFix mimics the ClickFix attack pattern but delivers a different payload. Unlike traditional ClickFix that uses fake browser update prompts, TerminalFix uses fake terminal error messages to trick users into running malicious commands.
